Brass Beats specializes in a range of genres to suit all tastes, including 60s, soul & motown, disco, funk, 80s, 90s, dance, 00s, house and more. We play your favourite requests, and make sure there is something for everyone at your party.
Can we request specific songs for our event?
Absolutely! We love accommodating special song requests. We'll send you a Song Selector where you can list your favourite songs for the DJ, and we'll incorporate them into our setlist.
How far in advance should we book Brass Beats for our event?
It's always a good idea to book as early as possible to secure your desired date. We often take bookings over a year in advance, and our calendar fills up quickly, especially during peak wedding and event seasons. Contact us as soon as you have a date in mind to ensure availability.
Does Brass Beats provide all the necessary equipment for performances?
Yes, our packages include top of the range sound equipment, as well as a dedicated sound engineer, ensuring you have the best live sound possible. We also provide great stage and dance floor lighting to make sure the atmosphere is perfect for dancing!
Can Brass Beats perform during our reception during the day?
Absolutely! We have packages available for solo DJ, DJ and Saxophone/Trumpet or Roaming Brass Trio. This can be as a standalone option, or an add-on if you are booking the main band in the evening also. See our YouTube channel or enquire for our showreel videos.
What is Brass Beats' attire for performances?
We like to stand out from your guests, so we wear gold jackets as seen in our photos and videos.
Does Brass Beats travel for events?
Yes, we're more than willing to travel anywhere to perform at your event. Previous performances have taken us to Pembrokeshire, Yorkshire, Liverpool, and even the French Riviera. Our standard price includes a 100-mile radius of the M25, and there is an uplift for performance further away. Accommodation fees may be applicable for certain performances, but this will be fully outlined at the time of enquiry, so there are no hidden charges after booking.
What happens if a band member is unable to perform on the scheduled date?
Rest assured, we have a pool of talented musicians who can step in if needed. In the unlikely event of an unavoidable circumstance preventing a band member from performing, we'll ensure we get someone else in to cover! Our priority is to deliver an unforgettable experience, no matter what.
Will you travel abroad?
Yes, we travel anywhere in the world. We can provide a full technical rider for a local company to handle the technical requirements. All we need you to book is flights, transfers and accommodation. Head over to our YouTube channel or message us directly to see our Riviera Showreel
How long does it take you to set up?
All being well, we can do it in less than an hour. However this depends on the load-in route, and if we have access to our performance area straight away etc. We have packages available for the PA system and microphones to be set earlier in the day, particularly useful if you are in a marquee and need this for your speeches and background music.
